_“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this._

*LESSONS*
Many believers think Jesus came to preach healing. Some think it is faith, others think it is grace, some say it is holiness, some righteousness, some prosperity and the list goes on. However, even though these ideas of the message of Jesus are good, there is more to what Jesus taught on earth than these. What is more is the gospel of the kingdom of God(Matt. 4:17, 23; 9:35, Lk. 4:40-44, Lk 8:1).


A careful study of the ministry of Jesus shows us that He came to establish a kingdom. Of course healing accompanies the message of the kingdom. So do grace, prosperity, holiness, righteousness, faith and others because the kingdom encompasses all of these themes. But the primary focus of the ministry of Jesus was to preach the kingdom of God. That is why when He sent His disciples to go and preach, He told them to preach the gospel of the kingdom (Matt. 10:5-8, Lk.9:2; 10:1,10). Even after the resurrection, Jesus emphasized the kingdom to His disciples (Acts 1:1-4). Philip the Evangelist preached the kingdom of God (Acts 8:12).The Great Apostle, Paul also preached the kingdom (Acts 19:18; Acts 20:24-25, Acts 28:23,31).

This is only an introduction, and it begs the question what is this kingdom all about? We shall not be able to fully expound it in one article, but this study is designed to inspire us to go back to our study rooms and dig out what this kingdom is all about. For now we will touch an aspect of the kingdom- kingdomocracy

The prophecy is that the Government will be upon his shouler not his head.This is part of the body. So,the body of Christ must rise to take leadership as it is due.

Leaders set the pace,initiate idea and provide solution.You can not be a Christian and not lead your world for it is written that we are the light and we cannot be hidden when the light in us is manifested.
Are you going to shine the light or you submit to the darkness? You are to make a difference. Today , we see anarchy expressed to derepress lust,the injunction to us is to shine the light and not succumb to the darkness. As you rise to live the life which we possess, your light will keep shinning in Jesus name.


*PRAYER ALERT*
1. Father ,I receive the grace to shine as light always in Jesus name(matthew 5:14)

2.Redeem today from evil ,preserve the lives of many that Satan has destined to waste their lives today in Jesus name(Ephe 5:16,17)
