*TOPIC: CULTIVATING GRACE*
*TEXT: 2 Pet 3:18*
_”Grow in grace and understanding of our Master and Savior, Jesus Christ. Glory to the Master, now and forever! Yes! “_
*LESSONS*
We all have the same measure of grace at salvation but this is cultivated to different levels as we continue in him based on our individuals level of growth. We were saved by grace through faith and not by our efforts (Eph 2:8). When we know and understand all his dictates in different aspects of life and we believe in it, we also see an increase in grace. So, grace increases by believing in the truth about him, what he has done and how he is doing them now. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever ( Heb 13:8)
As we have seen that Grace is absolute dependence on God; when we confess his strength in us in our daily activities it leads to brokenness and we see multiplication of grace. If you are cheated and you forgive then he gives more grace to recover from that loss which becomes part of your grace. This was why the bread multiplied as it was broken to feed others( Matthew 14:19).
Those who want to be a blessing to others have more capacity to receive more and more will be given to such. Else, selfish people will hinder their growth in grace.
John 11:40 says, if you believe, you will see the glory of God. Faith and grace work together as also in Roman 4:5. It is of faith so that it might be by grace. If you believe, grace will increase.
In summary
1. We have equal measure of grace at salvation (Eph 2:8)
2. We grow in grace by communion (studying and praying which bring more understanding and faith and growth in stature) 2 Pet 3:18)
3. Acknowledging God in our circumstances (John 11:40)
4. Brokenness makes grace abound (Eph 5:7)
*PRAYER ALERT*
Lord, i thank you for you are making me ascend higher on the ladder of Grace. I am redeemed from what makes a man fall from the height of Grace. Amen
