*TOPIC: THE GREAT HELPER*

*Text: John 16:7(AMP)*
_”However, I am telling you nothing but the truth when I say it is profitable (good, expedient, advantageous) for you that I go away. Because if I do not go away, the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you [into close fellowship with you]; but if I go away, I will send Him to you [to be in close fellowship with you”_

*LESSONS*
In the midst of the perplexity that befell the disciples at Christ’s departure, He introduced a helper who is the very person of God (commissioned to dwell permanently in believers). The helper exhibits the very attributes of God the father as He is self sufficient, beginning of the beginning that has no beginning, omnipotent one, all knowing ,helper that will never need help. He is solely committed to helping believers manifest God on this earth. He is the administrator of the kingdom. He is the one that distributes kingdom treasures, confirms kingdom decisions with approved manifestation.

As we get closer to Christ’s second coming, there will be more anarchy (Matt 24:6) but Jesus said we should NOT BE ALARMED! What then is his provision for those days?
There will be greater awareness and manifestation of the Holy Ghost in the lives of believers. This is the great awakening. It will be of great necessity that without it, we cannot survive.
The Holy Spirit is a person not a thing; he is our great helper in this walk of faith. Acknowledgement of this truth will bring us into total dependency on him and he will become more real to us.

Lord makes me sensitive to the greater one who lives in me….
