Storms in form of challenges are part of the tools God uses to prove and mature our faith. James by the Spirit admonishes us to count it all joy when we face diverse temptations and trials because our promotion is near. Test comes before trust. Trust brings divine commitment. What is yours will not be released to you until you have been tested of its safe handling. Treasure can become poison if not handled with wisdom. It attracts attacks from hell also, which it takes understanding to withstand. Count it all joy when the father is taking you through the process of maturation.
James 1:2 – 3. It is not you that is been tested but your faith in Him. Jesus prayed for Peter that his faith will not fail in the temptation of the devil (Luke 22:32).
Your faith in Christ’s power, glory would be tested in the face of diverse challenges.
Doctrinal firmness will be a major test for those who will be pillars.
Your priority of seeking for trut and standing in it should be above looking for what works.
Are you a pillar in the making? You must be tested by the storm. Hold to your faith in Him.
The only solution to standing tall and walking over storm is to _fix our gaze in him_. This means to be totally taken over by the revelation of His finished worked the same way He was completely taken over by seeing the glory of the Father while He was on this earth. He despised all the criticism of the opposes because His gaze was fixed on the glory of the Father.
So, _look at him_ and not the storm. Consider His sacrifice for you, the bloodshed for you, His love, His mercy, His Spirit in you which quickens the dead. (Roman 8:11).
His grace which is at work in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. Consider Him and you will see miracle and the kingdom take effect on the situation. Peace in the midst of storm is the first fruit of the heart steadily fixed on Christ. Miracles follow. Fix your heart and gaze on Him and you will walk on the storm (Matthew 14:28).You are rising above the storm as you consider Him this morning in Jesus name.
