*TEXT: Lev 1:8*
_And the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar_

There is the last part of consecration which is being burnt. God desires to make us a burnt offering. Jesus became an offering to the world by his death, so also shall we if we give up our lives. Jesus laid on His cross as the ultimate death, we too must lay on the altar of sacrifice. We must see our lives as belonging to someone else and not ours.

A consecrated life is eventually set on fire for God. He smokes and flames up with divine inferno bringing forth all the aromas of all his internal parts. Consecration is the will of God for all his children; it is the channel to true ministry. A life that is set ablazed can not but bring forth sweet smelling savor unto God and men. Such a life becomes an instrument of satisfaction unto God. As we consecrate our lives, ministry flows from us effortlessly. Without fire, an offering is not complete, a man therefore must be set on fire for God, burning with all the energy supplied within him. Fire is an expression of the perfect will of God and satisfaction over a man’s life.

Malachi 3:2
_But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner’s fire, and like fullers’ soap:_

In conclusion, when God sees the wood, the fire and the sacrificial lamb, He cannot withhold his fire from being sent down. Let’s become the burnt offering, then the fire of the HolyGhost will be an intimate part of us. The secret to perpetual burning is in keeping the offering always on the altar.

Lord! Make me an offering, make me whatever you want me to be.
