TOPIC: THE GLORY OF GOD IN THE LAST DAYS

TEXT: Matt 26:34-35
Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

LESSON
How should we prepare for the challenges that will herald the folding up of the kingdom of darkness and the physical re-appearance of the Christ?
Peter made a very
patriotic statement while Christ was preparing their heart for his departure and the
events that will accompany it. The strength of Peter surely failed and was saved by
the intercession of the master who knew the plan of the devil to take him away
“Simon, Simon (Peter), listen! Satan has asked excessively that [all of] you be given up to him [out of the power and keeping of God], that he might sift [all of] you like grain.But I have prayed especially for you [Peter], that your [own] faith may not fail; and when you yourself have turned again, strengthen and establish your brethren”. Luke 12:31-32 AMP

Just like Peter was saved by the grace of God, so also will it be for us. Such outpouring of grace is to preserve the chosen no matter the storm. Remember that it was only Judas that was lost because he chose to be. God helped all the weaknesses of the other eleven disciples who had
chosen from their heart to be true to the King. Why did Satan
still need to ask .expressly for permission to sift them? The
story of Job gave a clear reason”
Have You not put a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have conferred prosperity and happiness upon him in the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land’’
Job 1:10.

Prepare for more revelation of the grace of God as the days
draw near. It may look as if it makes the Kingdom
simpler. Don’t be religious, don’t be like Peter that sticks to his
efforts. Simply accept the grace and let him hold you. Faith in his
grace,ability and power is what will sustain you. As these mysteries
get unfolded to the true kingdom citizen, open up your heart to receive.

PRAYER ALERT

1.Father, I open my heart to receive your help with
simplicity,as you equip me for the days ahead.It will be better days
by your grace which is always much more than enough( Roman
8: 34).

2. Pray for the Leadership of the Church to get stronger just as Jesus prayed for
   Peter (Luke 12:32)
