Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God

Why was the trust of people in chariots and horses?
2. SPEED
Chariot is driven by horses, hence their speed! In war-front,speed counts! This is an advantage if you have it. Sincerely,many think God acts slowly,Peter recounted this in 2Peter 3.In a generation where men are following God rationally,gospel has been exchanged with socialism. Anything that improves people’s life is the gospel, anything that solve problems is the gospel etc. However, Jesus solved the sin problem first even when many were poor! Salvation from sin is the way to release the real man from bondage.
Why all these? If we don’t know his ways,we will think he is slow!
Hene,we may go for chariots of the world with speed against the name of God.
