TEXT: Matt 17:1-2
After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light

LESSONS
The conviction birthed by reality cannot be compared with years of theoretical lectures. This is what Jesus did for those whom their desire has passed the test of the valley level who later became the pillars of the early church. He led them higher to show them his glory. Peter made reference to this encounter later. Moses was also a man who desired the glory of God above all else. Even the company of Angels meant nothing to him even though great miracles followed. He really desired the glory of God and God revealed himself to him( Ex 33:15,17).

Pillars are men of realities who have crossed the shadows of confusion into a knowledge that has passed the theoretical explanation but learnt by experience .This is what John was referring to when he said his hand has handled the word of life( 1 John 1:1).Pillars don’t take doctrinal confusions lightly ,it can cost them a year of searching but the multitude just look for what works. Nothing in them is contending to see the kingdom being real in the world. Do you know the kingdom is a building in which we are lively stones and leaders of the kingdom are pillars?(1 Peter 2:5) We need kingdom leaders so that we can see the glory of the kingdom on the earth. What is your appetite level for the glory of God? How much do you seek it above all else?

PRAYER ALERT
Father, create in me the hunger for your glory more than anything else( Ps 42:2)
