TOPIC: GOD’S DWELLING PLACE
TEXT: 1 KINGS 6:21
Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold, and he drew chains of gold across in front of the Holy of Holies and overlaid it with gold.
LESSONS
The design of the temple is primarily triplet: The outer court, inner court and the Inner sanctuary.
God’s actual dwelling place is the inner sanctuary or the Holy of Holies. It is where God dwells. It is the place for the ark of God. This room is covered totally with pure gold. Every where you turn is gold. Making the place shinning and glittering. The gold of the inner sanctuary has a story to tell us which is that God dwells in an expensive and costly place.
God’s dwelling place is sacrificial. It draws from man his best.God doesnt dwell in a shabby life and place. God wants and deserves the best.
So any heart that will carry God must be ready to pay an high price. It is not cheap and baseless to house God. It is costly.
The place must be made with the purest gold. God doesn’t settle for less. Thus anyone that will carry God must make up his mind to sacrifice and pay heavily,either with his money, time and all.
Carrying God is demanding, it soon requires your all on the altar which is the only pure gold you can bring to Him.
PRAYER ALERT
O Lord! Lord help me to be willing to lay my life down and all I have as a pure gold to deck your sanctuary.
I receive grace to pay the price to be your dwelling place.
