TOPIC: BEWARE OF FIRE EXTINGUISHERS (1)

TEXT: Judges 14:1 (NIV)

Samson went down to Timnah and saw there a young Philistine woman.

LESSON
The lust of the flesh quenches the fire of the Spirit. The desires of the heart will give direction to the soul. If the gates to the desire loose their control, the life may go out of control. If God wants to set a man on fire, all other things makes no meaning except the will of GOD. Such seek God and fortunately, the more you know him, the more you want to know him ..But if the heart becomes unsatisfied by the will of God through the arrow of lust shot by the devil with the help of his aide called the flesh, then the whole focus will be shifted and the fire goes out. Needs of life must daily be subjected to lordship of God else distraction fills your heart and the fire goes out. This is very tricky because the needs of life are necessity but they must not be the master of your life. How will you know if needs of life has become the master? It gives you direction! The will of God is the master of the life of any fire brand who intends to sustain the fire they carry.

Be vigilant to guide your heart and keep it focused on the will of God. Once this is established and pursued, you can pray kingdom prayer which is the highest level of prayer. Matthew 6:33 will become a reality.
The cross is the weapon to keep the heart focused, the instrument of circumcision, the instrument of consecration, carry your cross daily and burn for him daily.
