*TOPIC: WALK IN GOD’S STRENGTH(1)*
*TEXT: . Psalms 82:1 God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.*
*LESSON*
God’s greatness is seen in the caliber of men that surrounds him. God doesn’t surround himself with weaklings. He doesn’t hate the weak but he hates remaining weak because He gives strength. He runs after the weak not because of their weakness,but because their weakness is a substrate to make his power known in them. 2 Cor 12:8-9. He likes to see the mighty in his company. God delights in any assembly where extraordinary people are. God doesn’t despise the weaklings but he specialises in giving them strength. It is the honour of God to raise mighty creatures like himself because likes beget likes. The angels in heaven are thus robed in great strength beyond human reasoning. God likes to gather with great and mighty men.
Anyone who is great in the definition of God will attract the presence of God to his life. God will invite him into his cabinet meeting and dine with him. Mephibosheth was not great in human’s eyes to merit eating on David’s table. But,he was qualified and called by David because he was Jonathan’s blood. This means it is not physical strength that matters but your knowing the Lord. True strength comes from relationship with God. God is still in search of the mighty whom he can spend his leisure with in true fellowship.
*PRAYER ALERT*
Thank you father for the extraordinary abilities that I have in Christ. Teach me to walk in this strength to manifest the god in me.
