Afterward Mordecai returned to the king’s gate. But Haman rushed home, with his head covered in grief, and told Zeresh his wife and all his friends everything that had happened to him.His advisers and his wife Zeresh said to him, “Since Mordecai, before whom your downfall has started, IS OF JEWISH ORIGIN, you cannot stand against him you will surely come to ruin!” (Emphasis mine) LESSONS
The greatest basis of commanding the miraculous is on covenant grounds. Deut 8:18 makes us know that the reason for giving them the power to make wealth is to confirm the covenant he has made with their fore fathers- which is the Abraham covenant. The only reason why Mordecai must totally defeat Haman is because he is of the seed of the Jews. That seed has crushed the head of the serpent as promised so he must end in victory(Gen3:15). The wife of Haman and his wise men must have observed that the case is always the same once it involves a Jew. They will always win. This quickly came to the mind of his wife and other wise men and concluded that Haman must lose the battle despite the victory he seems to have gained earlier. He had once been advised by the same set of people that he should erect a gallow to hang Mordecai. But when they saw that supernatural turning, they quickly remembered that this man is a Jew and affirm the defeat of Haman who was their kinsman because they couldn’t deny the fact. Anything, anyone that is from above is above all ( 1 John 5:4).Everyone born of God has conquered the world because Christ has conquered the world,death,sickness etc for us. That is the new covenant ground. God cannot deny Jesus and Jesus will not deny his own. So, our covenant ground is in Christ alone. A hymn says, “on Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand”. We are in Christ and we stand on Christ (the covenant ground) to command the supernatural. That is why you must be certain of your origin as a person, divine approval over your actions as anything divinely approved cannot suffer defeat. Never! Which ground are you standing? This covenant ground is the basis of prayer that receives urgent attention. Why not pray and command on the covenant ground?
